Jobot is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Accounting Supervisor
for a leading organization. This role will oversee daily accounting operations with a focus on fixed asset management, general ledger accuracy, and compliance with GAAP standards. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, leadership experience, and a passion for process improvement. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work remotely and onsite. The successful candidate will supervise and coordinate accounting operations, manage a team of accountants, oversee financial reports, participate in audits, and ensure compliance with accounting regulations. Responsibilities
Supervise, direct, and manage the accounting team\'s daily activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries. Ensure all financial operations comply with state and federal laws and regulations. Develop, implement, and maintain financial and administrative policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency. Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Prepare and present financial and budget reports to the management team and stakeholders. Coordinate with the internal audit team to conduct regular audits. Participate in strategic planning, fraud prevention, and budget development. Implement and maintain internal controls over accounting and financial procedures. Coordinate with the supply chain team to manage inventory and cost accounting. Manage and coordinate tax audits and tax returns with external tax accountants. Oversee the preparation of PSC reports and ensure compliance with FERC property accounting. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Proficient knowledge of GAAP and FASB; strong understanding of cost accounting and project-based accounting. Experience with RUS accounting regulations is preferred. Proficiency in using financial software and databases; PeopleSoft experience is a plus. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong leadership and communication abilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Strong understanding of the supply chain process and its financial implications.
