Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Technical Recruiter
to support
Federal IT and Engineering programs , with a focus on sourcing and placing
cleared professionals . The ideal candidate has a proven track record recruiting for
high-security federal environments , a strong grasp of
IT and Engineering lifecycles , and the ability to deliver exceptional talent under compliance and timeline pressures. In this role, you’ll partner closely with
hiring managers, program leaders, and security teams
to identify, assess, and onboard technical professionals who meet the stringent requirements of
DOE, DoD, and other federal agencies . Bonus:
Up to $20,000 annually (performance-based) Key Responsibilities
Source, screen, and present candidates with active clearances (Public Trust, Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, etc.) for federal IT and Engineering programs. Build and maintain a
qualified pipeline
of professionals across Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, etc.) and IT (Project/Program Management, Software Development, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Data Analytics, Infrastructure). Partner with hiring managers to understand technical requirements, program deliverables, and compliance standards. Manage the
full recruitment lifecycle : requisition intake, sourcing, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and onboarding support. Ensure compliance with
OFCCP ,
EEOC , and other federal hiring regulations. Leverage ATS platforms, professional networks, and job boards (LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs) to engage top-tier talent. Track and report key recruitment metrics and progress against hiring goals. Additional Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Recruiting:
Lead end-to-end recruitment for technical roles such as Systems Engineers, Software Developers, Cybersecurity Analysts, Data Scientists, Nuclear/Mechanical Engineers, and IT Project Managers. Proactive Sourcing:
Engage candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, industry events, referrals, and targeted sourcing campaigns focused on DOE/DoD–cleared talent. Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work with program directors, hiring managers, and HR partners on workforce planning and clearance requirements. Screening & Assessment:
Conduct technical and behavioral interviews to evaluate skill alignment and suitability for cleared programs. Employer Branding:
Represent the organization at technical career fairs, conferences, and university recruiting events to build talent pipelines. Market Intelligence:
Monitor labor market trends, salary data, and the national lab/federal integrator talent landscape to inform recruitment strategy. Qualifications
3–5+ years of recruiting experience, including at least 2 years within
federal IT recruitment . Demonstrated success placing
cleared professionals
(Public Trust through TS/SCI). Familiarity with
federal contracting , proposal staffing, and IT project environments. Knowledge of key technical domains:
Cybersecurity, Cloud, DevOps, Data Analytics, and Infrastructure . Experience with ATS systems and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs). Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills. Required
Experience supporting
large federal integrators or agencies
(DoD, DHS, DOJ, VA, etc.). Understanding of
proposal-based staffing
and contingent offers in the federal contracting space. Medical, Dental, Vision:
