Overview
The Registered Radiologic Technologist provides professional technical care through the operation of complex equipment to produce high quality radiographs. This individual collaborates with the Radiologist, department manager and other team members in developing, implementing and evaluating department procedures and protocols. This position has direct patient care, access to confidential patient information and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with the Radiologist, manager, and other team members. This position works under the indirect supervision of the Radiology Manager. Responsibilities
Operate complex radiologic equipment to produce high quality radiographs. Collaborate with the Radiologist, department manager and other team members to develop, implement and evaluate department procedures and protocols. Provide direct patient care and maintain patient confidentiality. Make decisions independently and in collaboration with the Radiologist and manager as required. Qualifications
Required Educational Degree: Graduate of an Accredited Program Major/Area of Concentration: Radiologic Technology Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: RRT - Registered Radiologic Technologist with Current Ohio License; ARRT - Registered Radiologic Technologist with Current Ohio License; BLS - Basic Life Support (must obtain within first 30 days of employment). New graduates: Must have passed ARRT registry exam to be Ohio Department of Health license eligible before start date. Must obtain Ohio license within first 14 days of employment. Seniority level
