Ability and willingness to travel to multiple jobs and customer sites High School Diploma or equivalent Three or more years’ experience in the safety field, preferably in a construction setting OSHA 511 or 510, preferred OSHA 500 or 501 First Aid/CPR/AED instructor certification is a plus BCSP certification (CHST, OHST, ASP or CSP) also a plus Structure and content of the English language; Spanish language knowledge is a plus Ability to learn and enforce current corporate policies and procedures Knowledge of and ability to enforce Federal and state Occupational Safety & Health regulations Knowledge of NFPA Standards applicable to work operations and US Army Corps of Engineers Safety program Knowledge of safe operations of construction equipment (trainer certifications are a plus) Knowledge of various computer software programs and the ability to use them efficiently Responsibilities

Coach and teach safety best practices and behaviors that prevent injury Assist employees and site management in enforcing safety procedures within the Safety and Risk Program to ensure OSHA compliance Coordinate all tasks on site to ensure they are performed safely in accordance with company safety policies and OSHA standards Conduct site visits/inspections, observe and document employee work practices, and improve safety preparedness Identify corrective actions necessary to bring job sites into compliance with applicable codes, laws, regulations, and standards, and explain these measures to others Inspect availability and use of required accident prevention procedures, safety and fire equipment, protective clothing, and first aid supplies Recommend and follow up to verify the implementation of corrective actions Identify and recommend safety equipment, materials and supplies for work operations Assist in reporting and investigating workers compensation and general liability claims; liaison with workers’ compensation issues Conduct and/or assist with job hazard analysis Apply
