Stage Manager - Universal Horror Unleashed Universal Horror Unleashed is a terrifyingly unique experience that will bring haunts to Las Vegas year-round, located at Area 15. This position involves working in dark environments around special effects including strobe lights, fog, artificial smells, and more. Working hours are typically late evenings/nights and weekends (holidays included). JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the day-to-day operations of assigned stages/houses for Universal Horror Unleashed. Promotes a positive guest and team member experience by ensuring the venue, including both talent and technical aspects, runs at optimum performance levels. Provides operational and administrative support to the assigned house/area within the venue. Takes ownership of the assigned area and has complete knowledge of all tech and talent necessary to operate. Addresses cast concerns appropriately and disseminates technical information to the appropriate partnering technical teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for ensuring the successful operation of the assigned entertainment stage/house. Communicates necessary information pertaining to the entertainment operation to necessary parties. Ensures the safety of all performers and supports injury prevention efforts of repetitive movement. Partners with Technical & Show Operations teams to ensure all technical elements and safety procedures are followed and communicates technical information and/or concerns to the appropriate technical team.

Administers all company policies and procedures and handles employee relations issues pertaining to the assigned stage/house. Develops, writes, and updates operating and training manuals, produces spot talks, and documents and addresses infractions with hourly team members. Completes administrative duties including team member reviews, attendance, skill certifications, scheduling, timecard reconciliation, show reporting, shift meetings, overtime summaries, and other functions for the assigned stages/houses.

Provides coaching and show direction to team members, communicates and reinforces company and venue expectations of behavior, performance, and safety standards. Documents team member feedback and recognition through appropriate employee relations channels.

Supervises and evaluates all talent and the Assistant Stage Manager for assigned stages/houses. Oversees onboarding, rehearsals, daily operation, seasonal events, and horror activations. Provides direction on blocking during auditions, casting, and rehearsals to support operational changes and seasonal events. Monitors rehearsal processes to ensure show quality, integrity, and safety. Enforces show standards and monitors team members assigned to the stage/house, assessing performance annually.

Supports Team Member Satisfaction (TSAT) and Guest Satisfaction (GSAT) efforts in partnership with the General Stage Manager. Works with management to evaluate feedback and determine improvement plans.

Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Stage Management, Entertainment or related field required.

EXPERIENCE

3+ years of experience within professional entertainment. 1+ year supervisory/managerial experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
