Duane Morris LLP, a law firm with 900+ attorneys in offices across the U.S. and internationally, is seeking an experienced Business Immigration Paralegal to support the immigration practice based out of Boca Raton, Florida. Candidate may work out of our Boca Raton, Miami, Washington, D.C., or New York office(s). Summary
Working in a collegial team-oriented environment, our paralegals perform challenging and substantive legal work. Paralegals work under the direction of an attorney, assisting employers in sponsoring foreign workers for immigration benefits. These paralegals also perform highly specialized services such as intake assessment, draft responses to government requests, and manage their own caseload. Duties include direct client contact, preparing and filing nonimmigrant visa petitions and green card applications. Essential functions
Business Immigration paralegals should be able to handle the following case types: NIV (H-1B, L-1, E-2, TN), IV (I-140), AOS, PERM, etc. Analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent corporate client contact Must be organized, detail oriented, responsive and have excellent follow through skills Must be able to multi-task and work independently Ability to work well under pressure and work effectively with clients, attorneys and staff Benefits
