The Boeing Global Services organization is seeking a
Support Engineering Data Specialist
for an exciting opportunity with the C-17 Maintainability and Supportability Engineering team at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA and/or Joint Base Charleston SC. The C-17 platform is a mature airlifter for Air Forces of the United States and allied countries. This position plays an important role in ensuring that C-17 aircraft continue to be reliable and mission capable.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA or the Joint Base Charleston SC facility.
Position Responsibilities
Supports developing, analyzing, collecting, and storing various system support technical data elements and specifications for evaluation and assists with making recommendations.
Supports providing recommendations on product supportability and establishing product supportability operational maintenance tasks, resources, and support systems to achieve supportability requirements for a single equipment subsystem.
Assists with identifying and analyzing logistics support candidates from product definition and develops logistics support analysis records and reports.
Supports determining spares provisioning requirements for spare and replacement parts, levels, and stocking for a single customer and contract type.
Participates in preparing technical documentation for operating, testing, and maintaining aircraft systems/components.
Supports reviewing aircraft and/or fleet operational performance, reliability, and availability.
Participates in internal and external technical reviews.
Coordinates and participates in process reviews, project management reviews and compliance audits.
Participates in internal technical reviews, engineering integration efforts and builds technical reports to assist internal and external leadership strategic planning.
Defines and establishes metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Supports implementation of management and industry best practices.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution of learning.
6+ yrs of relative work experience
2+ years of experience supporting the military aviation industry
Working knowledge of C-17 aircraft engines and/or C-17 Configuration Control and Maintenance Scheduling
Working knowledge of USAF Field Maintenance Command and Control (FMxC2) Data Systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Experience in Microsoft Full Suite Applications
Experience in Boeing Data/Information Systems
Typical Education & Experience
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 years’ related work experience, etc.)
Relocation
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range – 64,600 – 93,150
