Corporate Recruiter / Outside Sales Representatives position with Matheson. The SGS (Specialty Gases & Equipment) team is responsible for increasing Matheson’s Specialty Gases, Specialty Gas Equipment, and non-strategic semiconductor gas and equipment sales and market share within a defined territory by managing the sales process related to specialty gases and equipment. Responsibilities

Increase sales and market share through direct and indirect sales activities. Develop sales leads into profitable accounts working closely with local sales teams within defined regions. Serve as a conduit for information between clients and senior management, operations, and quality assurance departments. Provide management with regular reporting and updates regarding key customers, prospects and projects. Develop and share best practices to promote and sell specialty gases and equipment. Monitor internal and external quality assurance programs and KPIs directly impacting customers’ businesses. Establish high standards for customer service across Matheson’s customer service and operations groups. Provide continuous improvement in sales volume growth, account profitability, and contract terms. Prepare and submit complete and accurate expense reports in accordance with Matheson policy. Attend scheduled zone and region sales meetings. Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all policies and standards. Daily attendance is an essential responsibility. Technical Knowledge

Specialty gas, specialty gas equipment, bulk, medical and industrial cylinder industry. Manufacturing of specialty gases including pure gases, gas blends, hydrocarbon blends and reactive gas blends, industrial cylinder gases and bulk atmospheric gases. Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in life sciences or chemistry; MBA or commercial experience in the strategic market is preferred. 5–10 years of experience in sales or marketing within life sciences, bioscience, pharmaceutical, chemical, semiconductor, or similar technical sales; experience selling hazardous materials, chemicals, equipment, process control devices or process analyzers; experience selling specialty, medical and industrial gases is preferred. Working knowledge of ISO, Six Sigma and lean manufacturing practices. Primary Duties and Time Allocation

Safety compliance, training, coordination with SHE Department, Sales and Operations Teams – 10%. New business development – active engagement of prospects, sales teams, and customers with the goal of new business sales and profit growth. 75%. Participation in marketing programs for input and technical support. 5%. Training of local sales teams, customers and individual skills development. 10%. Travel

50% - 75% travel for meetings and trainings as required. Travel daily within the territory to meet with current and target customers; some overnight travel may be required depending on territory geography. Compensation

Base pay range: $85,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr. Annual salary: $80,000 to $100,000 DOE. Additional compensation types: Commission. Physical Demands

Stationary and movement activities as described (occasional to frequent). Repetitive motions and fine motor tasks; occasional lifting and driving may be required depending on duties.
