Responsibilities

As a

Commercial Sales Representative , you’ll be responsible for understanding Orkin’s products and services and how to sell them to a variety of industries. You’ll make strategic recommendations to new and existing customers to help prevent pests, uphold quality and safety, and satisfy their regulatory standards. You’ll solve problems and build trusted relationships as an essential partner protecting their business. You’ll listen to needs and clearly explain practical solutions to win over customers with confidence and care.

Prioritize safety in all responsibilities

Conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers

Serve as an empathetic problem solver for commercial customers by utilizing training to recommend the best innovative overall solution for each customer's needs

Achieve sales goals through prospecting new business and assigned leads

Utilize marketing tools to drive new business development

Conduct an inspection of the interior and exterior of the customer’s commercial property

Make recommendations to customers based on inspections, address questions, explain solutions, and set expectations for their pest program

Use the provided iPad to prepare sales agreements and stay organized (training provided)

Estimated first-year earnings: $70,000 to $90,000 USD annually

Base plus uncapped commission structure

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

No prior pest control industry experience required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Sales or customer relationship management experience required

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Valid driver’s license required

Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license/certification if required (company paid)

Ability to work in the field independently and interact with clients

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations:

Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity

Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc., including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling

Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator

Willing to work in different weather conditions
