Cibola General Hospital . Cibola General Hospital is hiring. We’re seeking a Chief Executive Officer to join our team of compassionate caregivers. Our 25-bed critical access hospital supports professional growth and development with the latest technologies. Cibola General Hospital is one hour from Albuquerque and close to Santa Fe. Grants, NM offers a mild year-round climate, outdoor activities, low property taxes and inexpensive housing costs. We provide services in general surgery, 24-hour Emergency care, Intensive Care, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics, Pathology, Pediatric Dentistry, Podiatry, Primary Care and Radiology with X-ray, CT, MRI. We have three operating rooms including a room for scopes. Clinics, Lab services, Pharmacy, Cardiopulmonary, Rehab, and skilled care beds are provided. Job Summary and Scope The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of

Cibola General Hospital, Inc.

("Hospital") provides strategic leadership, quality, and financial oversight and direction. The CEO works with the Board of Directors ("Board") and the Leadership team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. The CEO communicates with the Board in a timely manner and applies high-level problem-solving and decision-making skills in matters with major impact on the Hospital’s ongoing success, including care and surgical operations. Principal Responsibilities

Board Relations – Ensures a positive working relationship with the Board founded on honesty, trust and collaboration. Strategic Development – Develops, communicates and leads the implementation of the strategic plan in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision and values. Translates the mission into realistic goals and objectives. Leadership and Culture – Sets an organizational tone that attracts, retains, motivates and develops a highly qualified workforce. Provides leadership on policy development, strategic direction and financial operations. Leadership Team Relations and Development – Maintains an open, honest, trusting and collaborative relationship with senior leaders and develops future leaders within the organization. Quality and Patient Safety – Ensures quality and patient safety are top priorities at every level. Financial Leadership – Sets the tone for financial discipline and ensures alignment of strategic and operational planning with budgeting. Medical Staff Relations – Develops and maintains effective relationships with physicians employed by and associated with the organization. Community Health and Partnerships – Collaborates with community leaders to assess health needs and design programs to maximize resources. Advocacy and Fundraising – Represents and promotes the organization to government, accrediting bodies, potential donors, the media and the community. Change Agent – Embraces transformation in health care delivery and financing and thinks innovatively. Risk-Taking and Problem-Solving – Monitors shifts and trends in health care, politics, society and technology. Continuous Leadership Improvement – Commits to continually improving personal leadership performance. Systems Thinking – Establishes a unifying vision and culture across the organization. Partnership Focus – Seeks partnerships to advance the organization’s mission and community health. Communication – Maintains open lines of communication and professional relationships at all levels. Ethics – Applies strong ethical judgment with technical and management skills, valuing fairness, honesty and compassion. Policies and Procedures – Reviews and understands established organizational and departmental policies and quality assurance programs. Professional Development – Supports growth through educational programs, literature review, in-services, meetings and workshops. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Position Qualifications

Knowledge of marketing, finance, quality, change management and risk assessment. Experience formulating business plans, communications and strategy. Skill in problem solving, negotiations and issue identification in employee situations. Ability to direct and manage within a large organization and integrate diversified managerial functions. Ability to organize, plan, execute, control and evaluate hospital programs with multiple constituencies. Demonstrated ability to implement physician recruitment efforts. Ability to prioritize and manage work effectively while handling multiple projects and delivering friendly service. Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field. Preferred Educational/Experience Requirements

Master’s degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration or a health care related field. Work Experience

Ten years of senior management experience (Departmental Director or above), five years as a top-level executive (Vice President or above). Five years with extensive professional and technical knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, hospital management and related areas. Extensive knowledge of critical access hospitals. Previous experience in a CEO position. Experience with incorporating and optimizing EMRs. Supervision

Direct supervision of all modalities within the operations of a critical access hospital. Conditions of Employment

Must pass pre-employment criminal background checks, reference checks and a post-offer drug screen. Must be eligible for employment as verified by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Government Services Administration (GSA). Tuberculin screening required annually. Hospital required vaccinations. Hospital required competencies. Working Conditions
