As our new Senior Lead Consultant, you will conduct Phase I environmental site assessments (ESAs) and limited environmental compliance reviews of complex industrial facilities and/or facilities with long industrial histories, liaise with the transaction team to discuss identified liabilities, and assist clients with post-transaction integration. You may also assist clients with maintaining and achieving environmental regulatory compliance and improving Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and sustainability performance. Your key responsibilities
Conduct environmental due diligence reviews, including limited environmental compliance reviews, of industrial sites to support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other business transactions. Tasks may include desktop reviews, site visits, interviewing management or site personnel, reviewing historical information, and/or preparing Phase I Environmental Site Assessment reports in line with ASTM standards or other client-specific formats. Provide general environmental compliance support across regulatory program areas including hazardous waste, wastewater/stormwater, air emissions, chemical/spill prevention, and Community Right-to-Know regulations. May include environmental plan development, permit transfers, and environmental reporting. Travel to facilities for site visits (local or non-local). Support multiple projects and maintain high-quality standards on project deliverables. Assist with the development of junior team members, contribute to proposals and cost estimates, and manage certain projects. Qualifications
About you
Minimum B.S. in an engineering discipline (civil, environmental, chemical) or B.S./B.A. in a relevant science discipline (environmental science, geology, chemistry, physics, or biology). Advanced degree desirable but not required. 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting, including Phase I ESAs and environmental compliance reviews for various industrial facilities. Experience with investigation/remediation of contaminated sites, emerging contaminants, health and safety, and ESG is helpful. Proven ability to perform Phase I ESAs and limited environmental compliance reviews of complex industrial sites, with willingness to travel on short notice (1-2 day trips; local or nationwide). Driver’s license and ability to travel required. Strong ability to operate in a fast-paced transactional environment, manage multiple tasks, and communicate complex EHS topics clearly to clients.
