Overview
Retail Sales Associate at HMSHost – Sacramento Airport location. This is a non-exempt position that typically reports to the Lead Retail Sales Associate or the Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager. The role provides excellent customer service through direct salesmanship and prompt, courteous service; completes each transaction efficiently; develops thorough knowledge of store merchandise and offers guidance to customers. Essential Functions
Perform all functions relating to handling of merchandise or cash in accordance with corporate policies Administer all point of sale opening and closing procedures in accordance with corporate policy Resolve customer complaints in a manner consistent with company policy and customer satisfaction Ensure that all customers receive receipts on purchases Communicate merchandise needs or issues to appropriate supervisors Contribute to store display and presentation efforts, including stocking/replenishing merchandise, following visual merchandising guidelines, and general housekeeping duties Participate in physical inventory counts as required Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment
Customer service and cash handling experience preferred Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, policy documents, and short correspondence, and converse comfortably with customers Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions Experience in retail merchandise sales preferred Benefits and Compensation
