Overview

Warehouse Lead III role at Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) in Denton, TX. This is a back-up supervisory position in the Denton SSLC warehouse, with responsibilities that may involve movement to other facilities across Texas. The Warehouse Lead III reports to the Warehouse Supervisor, Supply Services, and operates under general supervision with moderate latitude for initiative and independent judgment. This role requires active participation in Continuity of Operations (COOP) to maintain full operational capability during disruptions. Responsibilities

Attend work on a regular and predictable schedule and perform other duties as assigned. Coordinate staff duties in receiving, issuing, rotating stock, loading and unloading, ensuring proper distribution and stocking at State Hospitals and State Supported Living Centers; rotate stock to prevent spoilage and obsolescence. In the absence of the warehouse supervisor, coordinate inventory and stock control records, generate replenishment requisitions, communicate with suppliers, and train staff in the use of MIMS for stock issuance. Enter receipts (including numbered assets) into the CAPPS system and train others to receive accurately and timely. Advise staff on SharePoint procedures and operating instructions; maintain an efficient warehouse management system and keep the supervisor informed of inventory, personnel performance, and issues. Operate and train staff on material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack); oversee safe handling of materials. Complete other duties as assigned. Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of warehousing methods, inventory control, automated inventory-control systems, reporting procedures, and applicable department policies. Ability to train and supervise others in shipping, receiving, issuing, and inventory control. Ability to review operations for compliance and transfer stock between locations. Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to operate a handheld device for inventory management and to prepare reports and maintain records. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate with multiple staff, departments, and agencies. Qualifications

Valid Class C Driver’s License (Texas preferred) to be checked yearly for violations or suspensions. Forklift Driver Training (SAF0100) completed within six months of employment. Initial Screening Criteria: Graduation from an accredited high school or GED; experience with inventory control software; supervisory/leadership experience; experience with inventory control or material handling equipment.
