Morongo Casino Resort & Spa . The Casino Host’s main responsibility is to develop and maintain effective working relationships with Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa’s very best players, provide services to them to build player loyalty, and to increase the number of visits and/or amount played by those players. Hosts must develop and maintain strong working relationships with key allies throughout the property and in the community to ensure players have the gaming experience they expect, and to generate leads for new business.
Responsibilities
Meet, greet and deliver exceptional service to all Hosted guests.
Establish and maintain positive guest relationships with hosted players and potential Hosted guests; tailor services to guests’ preferences.
Respond to Hosted guest requests, questions or problems in a timely fashion; refer to VIP Services when appropriate.
Encourage the use of the Rewards Card; determine eligibility of complimentary services by analyzing theoretical and win/loss ratings.
Arrange hotel, limo, room amenities, golf and spa reservations and other needs for VIP/Hosted guests.
Notify VIP guests about services, promotions and special events to assure retention and repeat business; develop incremental trips from Hosted patrons.
Work special events servicing VIP guests on and off property; assist in planning events as needed.
Collaborate with Casino Hosts, Player Development Administration, Hotel and Food & Beverage personnel to ensure amenities meet Hosted guest satisfaction.
Successfully reach objective performance goals related to revenue, visitation, acquisition and reactivation.
Review VIP activities and promotional status with the Player Development Director as required.
Solicit and develop new VIP guests through community contacts and on the casino floor.
Maintain awareness of competitive promotional methods and follow up with guests after departure to maintain contact.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Computer skills; excellent verbal and written skills. Required to act as a sales representative. In-depth knowledge of Player Development operations. Ability to learn how to use the Host Viz CRM system. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information. Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with the public and staff. Ability to speak to groups of any size, including acting as Master of Ceremonies for events, parties and tournaments. Strong business sense, high professional ethics, guest service and team member relations. Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to multi-task.
Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Casino marketing preferred. Minimum 1-2 years outside sales and/or telemarketing experience preferred. Player Development experience preferred but not required. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field preferred or equivalent work experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other Windows-based software.
License or Certificates Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.
Language Skills Must be able to read, write and speak English. Candidates with bilingual capabilities will be given preference. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively with guests or team members.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. An understanding of reinvestment percentages is preferred.
Reasoning Ability Must independently problem-solve challenging situations. Ability to follow instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form and determine which procedures apply. Reason effectively and cordially when interacting with people.
Physical Demands Sitting, standing or walking as needed; ability to reach with arms and hands; may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to hear and speak on the telephone; vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment Typically performed in an office environment with low to moderate noise; casino environment can be moderate to loud and is a smoking environment.
Working Hours Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Flexible scheduling; may require evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. Typical workweek is 40 hours; shifts may vary based on business needs and may include overtime.
