Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Prepare complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. May guide or review the work of support staff. May assume a team lead role for the Accounting team. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Competent in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Education/Certification
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Experience
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Five (5) years of accounting experience, preferably in a Financial Institution. To include four (4) years of preparing complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports preferred. Seniority level
