This role is a leadership position under the Safe Deposit Box Process & Control Management Team (SDBPCM) SDBPCM oversees process and control improvement and execution, in support of National Financial Center Operations. The Sr Business Control Specialist role is responsible for leading a team of Business Control Specialists, ensuring consistent delivery of business objectives while maintaining strong risk management and compliance standards. This leader sets clear expectations, drives accountability, and empowers employees to perform at their highest potential. Success in this role requires a balance of executional discipline, expense management, people leadership, and the ability to connect day‑to‑day team performance with broader enterprise priorities.

Responsibilities

Manages team of Business Control Specialists (B6) on the execution of bank initiated safe deposit box drills

Manage performance scorecard for direct reports

Manage expenses per the enterprise standard

Coach, mentor, and develop junior employees

Conflict resolution

Communicate expectations upward and downward

Assess situations quickly and make informed, sound decisions

Drive risk identification culture within the business

Collaborate with process and control owners

Supports the implementation of business continuity efforts

Develop strong partnership and influence decisions with peers and partners

Skills

Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop junior employees

Strong delegation skills

Conflict resolution and team motivation abilities

Clear, concise, and professional verbal and written communication

Ability to communicate expectations upward and downward

Ability to assess situations quickly and make informed, sound decisions

Reporting and Metrics experience

Confidence in taking ownership of outcomes

Required Qualifications

3+ years of financial center operations management experience

Financial center safe deposit box drill experience

Ability to work remotely with other teammates

Ability to travel 50%-75%

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Ability to stand, sit, and kneel for extended periods

Microsoft Office knowledge

Pay Pay range $70,000.00 - $104,400.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible. This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
