Revenue Integrity Charge Capture Specialist
Overview
The Revenue Integrity Charge Capture Specialist is part of the Revenue Integrity team in the Financial Operations department and supports timely resolution of unposted charges, ensuring accurate charge routing across the health system, through any manual entry needs or via owned Work Queues (WQs) for charge router, charge review, charge DNB, or charge claim edit. Responds to account queries regarding charge issues. Participates in completion of any needed charge update projects and supports leadership in tracking edit volumes by type and department. Researches and recommends resolutions to system errors.

Responsibilities
Resolves edits in assigned Epic Work Queues within designated timeframes.
Coordinates with clinical and financial departments to ensure accurate and timely resolution of charge errors.
Responds to account queries regarding charge related questions or issues.
May handle complex account queries regarding charge issues across Epic Resolute PB and HB.
Identifies charge error trends and works with revenue integrity staff and leadership to review needed system update resolutions.
Makes observations and recommendations to prevent future revenue loss.
Identifies correct service codes, supply codes, and pharmacy charges based on documentation within the patient record.
Understands insurance terms and denial reasons to correctly identify errors on charge accounts.
Presents charging issues to analyst team and leadership weekly.
Completes assigned charging projects within designated timeframes and assists with other duties as needed.
Completes and/or attends training and education sessions as assigned by leadership.

Compensation And Benefits The compensation range for this position is $16.73 per hour – $27.10 per hour. This represents a good-faith minimum and maximum range at the time of posting. Actual compensation offered will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked, and compensation model.
