Overview
Universal Banker at First Horizon Bank. Location: onsite as listed in the job posting. Responsibilities
Provide both teller and platform support to minimize client wait times and deliver quality customer service. Teller support includes daily processing of financial transactions (deposits, currency handling, coin, and cashing checks). Platform support includes opening checking and savings accounts and providing other deposit product services. Identify client needs through consultative conversations and recommend appropriate products and services. Open and process new demand and time deposit accounts including savings accounts, IRAs, certificates of deposit, and money market accounts. Cross-sell and make referrals to bank partners to generate new business and deepen existing client relationships. Conduct regular outbound calls to clients and prospects, including participation in client/prospect calling activities during special deposit/loan campaigns. Assist clients with loan applications for personal/retail consumer needs and hand off processing of these applications to the appropriate associate. Client experience
Research and resolve problems and respond to client inquiries on account status. Deliver excellent client experiences and promptly resolve client issues effectively. Enhance knowledge through relevant sales, service, and product knowledge meetings, training classes, and web-based learning. Compliance and risk management
Maintain expected compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, risk management, internal controls, and the First Horizon code of ethics. Operational efficiency
Assist banking center associates with daily operations as needed, including audit controls. Assist banking center management with on‑the‑job training of new associates. Stay informed of operational updates to ensure compliance with current guidelines. Hours
Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required and may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education and experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1 year of experience as a Teller preferred. As part of the employment process, you will need to meet background and credit check requirements. This position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements. DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment is required for consideration. Assessment takes approximately 12–15 minutes. Assessment results must be submitted prior to application evaluation by Talent Acquisition.
