Joining as a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional means you’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team and receive advanced tax training to be successful. Responsibilities
Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email). Prepare complete and accurate tax returns. Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services. Provide clients with IRS support and assist with tax notice services (as applicable). Assist with audit representation where permissible (Circular 230). Mentor and support teammates. Maintain readiness and compliance with applicable IRS/state requirements. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. CPA or Enrolled Agent certification. Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership). 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax. Experience conducting virtual tax interviews. Experience with tax planning and audit support. Experience in sales and/or marketing is a plus. Experience completing individual returns and working in a fast-paced environment. Comfort working with virtual tools (video, phone, chat) and strong communication skills (in person, phone, and written). Must meet IRS and applicable state requirements. High school diploma or higher (or equivalent). Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment is required. Benefits and Perks
