Our Client, a EV Manufacturer company, is looking for a Financial Analyst 1 for their Newark, CA location.
Responsibilities
This team is a part of the Product Development department on the Finance end. They work closely with business finances and product development initiatives. This team focuses on cross functional partnership with Supply Chain and Accounting specifically running business case scenarios on product designs and supplier investment spend. Essentially identifying what it takes to get a product into development and the finance around that initiative.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of our bill of material and vendor investment (tooling and engineering development) costs directly tied to our future vehicles.
Develop effective bill of material management tools, including segmentation of large data sets into digestible metrics provided to multiple cross-functional teams.
Review purchase requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial plan.
Facilitate program team alignment and decision making, and present data in cohesive reports that provide clear communication and progress of key program milestones.
Additional ad‑hoc assignments and projects supporting departments across the organization including month‑end financial reporting, longer‑term Business Plan development, benchmarking and process analysis.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience with strong Excel modeling
Minimum 2 years experience with forecasting in Business Case scenario - NPD or IRR calculation
Minimum 2 years experience with engineering development or automotive knowledge
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, Product Development Finance to support the development of our future vehicle platforms. This role will be integral to understanding and driving results in our prototyping and developments costs of new vehicles, including close partnership with engineering and supply chain partners to drive results within budget and profitability expectations. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field.
1-3 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 1 year directly supporting engineering, technology, or product teams.
Prior experience supporting product development, bill of materials, supply chain, or engineering highly preferred.
Proven technical, quantitative and critical‑thinking skills, high level of independent judgment, initiative and creativity to identify and clearly communicate key performance drivers to senior management.
Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results.
Demonstrated effective written, interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Established ability using Microsoft Office suite, particularly high proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
Finance Analyst experience at an Automotive OEM or Tier 1 Supplier, a huge plus!
