Floor Maintenance Technician

Greentree Manor , a 90-bed skilled nursing facility located in the picturesque Waterford, CT! In this vital position, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment for residents, staff, and visitors alike. Your responsibilities will include cleaning, buffing, stripping, and waxing floors, as well as collecting trash and adhering to infection control standards—all while enhancing the comfort and well-being of those we care for. What We Offer Attractive wage package 401(k) with employer matching Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Employer-Paid Life Insurance Short- & Long-Term Disability Coverage Shift differentials Generous Paid Time Off Paid Meal Periods Paid Holidays Employee Assistance Program Longevity Credit Program Uniform Reimbursement Employee Referral Incentives Floor Maintenance Technician Responsibilities Execute cleaning duties as assigned by the Environmental Services Director in line with facility protocols Regularly sweep, mop, and buff tiled floors in hallways and resident rooms Conduct deep cleaning, stripping, and waxing of resident rooms and common areas when assigned Rearrange and replace furniture as necessary for optimal floor maintenance Collect and dispose of facility trash daily Operate cleaning equipment safely and maintain it in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly Adhere to infection control measures and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols at all times Maintain a polished appearance while respecting resident privacy and dignity Complete all required documentation and communicate any concerns to supervisors Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience in housekeeping or floor maintenance is a plus Ability to read, write, and follow both written and verbal instructions Attention to detail with a strong commitment to cleanliness and safety Positive mindset and excellent teamwork skills About Our Caring Community At Greentree Manor, a family-owned skilled nursing facility, we specialize in short-term rehabilitation and long-term care.
