Overview
As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff, you will lead software development efforts for key features within Oracle Compute's service offerings. This role combines deep hands-on engineering expertise with technical leadership, focusing on the design, development, and operation of large-scale, highly available cloud services. The ideal candidate will take ownership of major feature areas and deliver end-to-end solutions.
Responsibilities Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of software development experience in system-level engineering.
5+ years of experience with OS kernel internals (e.g., memory management, device drivers, or kernel subsystems).
4+ years of experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., QEMU/KVM, Hyper-V, ESX).
Proficiency in at least two of the following programming languages: C, C++, Rust, Java, or C#.
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP).
Experience with Quality Assurance for cloud infrastructure.
Experience with SmartNICs, SR-IOV/VFIO, and live migration technologies.
Experience with GPU VMs.
Experience with TPM and confidential computing.
Experience with system performance analysis and tuning.
Master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only. US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 - $251,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
