About the role: As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will lead AP1000 and AP300 quality assurance activities, providing support to project and to the department organizations, and overseeing design finalization process.
You will report to the Director of Quality Energy Systems. This is a hybrid role, located in Cranberry PA or Rock Hill, SC.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage QA scope, including developing quality (and EHS) cost estimation for bids and proposals and risk identification.
Lead a team of QA engineers to perform multiple quality assurance and oversight functions, including further development of the Westinghouse Quality Management System, project quality plans and project procedures for New Plant Projects and the Energy Systems Team.
Become the project quality lead (manager) for early phases of AP1000 and SMR AP300 project(s), participating in design reviews, implanting internal audits and self-assessment.
Assure QA staff is trained and manage employee performance to achieve project goals.
Develop annual department budget and manage expenditures to achieve budget projections.
Maintain compliance with the Westinghouse Quality Management System for project preparation and execution compliance for AP1000 and SMR AP300 new opportunities, and for other New Plants Projects.
Support department improvement and organizational projects programs, including Corrective Action Program, Human Performance program, Indoctrination, Training, and Qualification programs.
Qualifications:
BS degree or equivalent
10 or more years of quality assurance experience
Professional Certifications: Broad knowledge of nuclear quality assurance regulations, codes, and standards.
Working knowledge of U.S. commercial nuclear power regulations, e.g., 10CFR50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, ASME B&PV Code, ANSI, 10CFR21, and comparable international regulations and standards (including ISO 9001 and ISO 19443).
Experience applying Nuclear Safety Culture and Human Performance principles
Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, fabrication and testing work processes
Travel internationally as projects require
Responsible for a budget of up to $50,000,000
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent on experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $130,400 to $163,000 per year.
