Overview
A well-established water and wastewater consulting firm with a deep footprint across the Carolinas is looking for a Project Engineer to join their municipal team. Backed by long-term relationships with more than 100 municipalities, this group leads critical plant upgrade and expansion projects that directly support local communities. You’ll work directly under a highly regarded Regional Director who has spent his career delivering high-impact municipal wastewater solutions. If you’re technically solid and thinking about what your next step could look like, this role is ideal for someone who wants to stay hands-on in design while gaining the experience and support to lead in the future. What You’ll Do
Deliver technical and design services on a range of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects Support treatment facility upgrades, pipeline and pump station design, and utility system evaluations Prepare drawings, reports, technical specifications, and permitting documents Collaborate closely with project teams while also taking ownership of individual tasks Join client meetings and help sustain and grow project relationships What You’ll Bring
BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering PE license in NC or ability to obtain through reciprocity 5–10 years of relevant water/wastewater design experience Strong communication skills and an interest in becoming more client-facing A desire to grow your technical skills while also expanding your professional network Why This Role
