The
University Registrar
oversees all operations of the Registrar's Office as well as the hiring, training and development of Registrar's office staff. The Registrar collaborates with other campus leaders to design quality student services and protect student records. The Office of the Registrar oversees management of official student academic records and grades, official transcripts, enrollment and degree verification, degree evaluations, veterans' benefits, course registration and scheduling, and the commencement ceremony.

Qualifications
Must have a Master's degree in sociology, student affairs administration or related field from an accredited university.
Must possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
A proven record in working successfully with diverse populations.
Ability to collaborate effectively with university departments and cross-functional teams.
Familiar with state reporting requirements.
Profound interest in working with young adults, positive attitude, ability to plan and adapt to change, customer service oriented, highly motivated, goal oriented, attentive to detail, well organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
Must have AACRAO, FERPA and Veteran’s Affairs certification.
Evening and weekend work and some travel are required.
Responsibilities
Coordinates, supervises, and provides executive leadership for daily functions and services of the Office of the Registrar including student information systems, registration, grading, degree audits, enrollment verifications, records management, transcripts, and awarding of degrees.
Plans and supervises the execution of commencement exercises to include responsibility for the commencement program.
Ensures the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of academic records of current and former students and provides accurate official transcripts and verifies dates of attendance, enrollment, degrees, graduation dates, academic and disciplinary standings and other information as requested.
Certifies enrollment for students who apply and are eligible for educational assistance administered by the Veterans Administration.
Collect, record, maintain, and report student records (grades, registration, data, transcripts, midterm verifications, iPEDS, National Student Clearinghouse) within FERPA guidelines and ensure FERPA compliance.
Monitor and verify student enrollment data essential for official internal and external reporting related to academic and student records as needed and compiles and generates data for surveys and reports.
Collaborates on matters pertaining to curriculum, university policies, and other areas of responsibility while fostering and preserving productive connections with academic partnerships, faculty, and staff on campus and at other institutions.
Responsible for creating, updating and maintaining policy and procedure manuals, regulations, and systems within the University Registrar’s Office (Office of Records and Registration).
Supervise, develop, train, manage, and evaluate staff within the office as well as provide leadership, innovation, vision, and accountability for the Office of the Registrar. Also provides and supports the professional development of office staff.
Provides leadership as the key liaison to IT and supervises athletic eligibility processes.
Collaborates with administrators, deans, faculty, and IT to facilitate and improve services to students, including catalog and registration/records policy questions.
Supervises the maintenance of the degree audit system and evaluates student records to ensure graduation requirements have been met.
Validation of leave requests and time sheets as well as develops and administers the departmental budget.
Maintains and upgrades the university’s academic information systems, including the student and electronic databases, and academic records archives in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Assists in processing all student grades, grade changes, reinstatements of registration, changes of majors, grade appeals and other changes and updates to academic records.
Problem solves through research, analysis and resolution of student disputes as they relate to records and registration.
Retains academic records in perpetuity.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
