Overview
Reporting to the VP, Strategic Partnerships, this role sits at the intersection of technology, strategy, and revenue generation. The Senior Director will architect the roadmap for MarTech alliances, leveraging industry insights and market trends to cultivate productive, innovative, and mutually beneficial relationships with key partners. This position requires an entrepreneurial approach to market expansion, an eye for scalable partnership models, and the ability to translate strategic vision into actionable business plans. The goal of the Senior Director, MarTech Strategic Partnerships and Business Development is to establish and grow Acxiom’s business in the MarTech ecosystem (Marketing Cloud and MarTech). This growth role focuses on identifying and creating opportunities with MarTech partners, implementing and growing Acxiom’s partner strategy with key MarTech partners, creating the business plan, defining cross-functional initiatives to deliver on the plan, and meeting targets for partnerships including revenue, pipeline creation, partnership tiers, health, and strategic objectives. This role requires significant cross-functional leadership with Acxiom teams (sales, product, engineering, delivery) and partner teams (field sales and partnership orgs). It is an individual contributor role with the potential to grow a team as the business scales. Responsibilities
Implement and grow Acxiom’s vision and value proposition in the MarTech ecosystem Develop client-facing sales materials for partnership offerings, including sales decks and partner marketing materials Build a pipeline of opportunities and lead new business through the sales process in collaboration with Acxiom Sales, Sales Enablement, and partner Sales teams Monitor and manage performance metrics across the partnership portfolio Set and execute strategy to sell to and market to the partner’s sales and alliance organization, building Acxiom’s brand with the partner Drive account alignment with partner for targeting high-potential accounts (existing and new) Lead engagement with the partner’s alliance programs (market development funds, certifications, co-marketing, joint solutions, etc.) Maintain pipeline in Salesforce with support of Sales Operations Ensure contracting and related paperwork (NDAs, MSAs, SOWs) with support from Sales Operations Align with client sales teams to pursue upsell and growth of MarTech services within existing accounts Collaborate with new logo sales to pursue MarTech opportunities in net-new accounts Coordinate with cross-agency leadership for joint offering development and cross-selling Serve as escalation point for sales engagement issues related to partnerships Qualifications
7+ years of experience in marketing tech, data, digital, or marketing services industries 7+ years of experience in customer/partnership management Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a related field Demonstrated success in building and nurturing win-win alliance relationships High level technical knowledge related to MarTech and MarTech solutions Ability to create new and creative partnership solutions and joint value propositions Strong networking and influence management skills for cross-organizational collaboration Ability to present to senior executives and facilitate strategic working sessions Credible communicator with strong organization and project management skills and a track record of delivering results Preferred
Network of relationships and domain expertise in MarTech technologies (e.g., Treasure Data, ActionIQ, SAS, Adobe, Salesforce) Domain expertise in identity resolution, privacy, and ethical data use Understanding of competitive MarTech landscape Location
