WCSG is looking for an exceptional radio professional who is ready to become an On-Air Host and Digital Media Producer. As part of the programming team, your work is focused on our loyal listeners. Your expertise will seek new ways to deepen listener engagement and delivery of content in a strategic environment. The core of Cornerstone University is defined and driven by its Christ-centered mission and Biblical confession.
Duties and Responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Media Producer:
Grow WCSG’s audience through compelling content and the staff who produce it
Assist the Program Director, in conjunction with the Marketing Director, in the development and execution of non-terrestrial content for the online presence of: Video recording and production
Podcast recording and production
Serve as backup and fill-in for scheduling music logs and program logs
Liaison with other departments for: Contesting and station promotions (Marketing); Station personality appearances at events, remotes (Marketing); Donor and business development education and solicitation (Development/Business/Marketing); Website content (Marketing/Integration); Station Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, podcast content
On-Air Host:
Host/produce WCSG programming as requested
Fill for on-air shifts when called upon, including Drive-Time shifts
Regular prep and follow-up through air checks for on-air shift
Develop a consistent quality and quantity of listener interaction via phone, mail, email, Facebook/other social media as it pertains to on-air shift
Enhance listening rapport/relationships through station-associated events and on-site broadcast appearances
Mon-Sun tracked or live depending on specified on-air shift
Serve as a front-facing representative of WCSG and Cornerstone University at various events and activities
Employees are expected to serve as Christian leaders and mentors by effectively living a gospel-centered lifestyle, ministering and discipling through a biblical worldview
All Cornerstone University employees will regularly interact with students in a variety of projects, activities, and settings. As such, all employees are expected to serve as Christian leaders and mentors by effectively living a gospel-centered lifestyle, ministering and discipling through a biblical worldview
Other duties may be assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
3-5 years Drive Time on-air work or relatable experience
1-3 years of Video and Audio production experience
Experience within the Christian music non-commercial radio industry
Personnel coaching/management
Essential Qualification Requirements
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and an active Christian commitment
A theology that supports the values and mission of Cornerstone University core commitments evidenced by an ability to affirm and sign the university’s doctrinal statement, “The Cornerstone Confession.”
