Overview The Quality Improvement Analyst obtains and analyzes clinical data to identify process improvement opportunities, review data, identify trends, report findings, input analysis into clinical databases for core measures and other related programs and recommend process improvement initiatives that can enhance the quality of patient care for the organization. This position relies on experience, nursing knowledge and professional judgment to plan and perform a variety of tasks in order to achieve goals with minimal supervision.

The Role You'll Contribute

The Quality Improvement Analyst obtains and analyzes clinical data to identify process improvement opportunities, review data, identify trends, report findings, input analysis into clinical databases for core measures and other related programs and recommend process improvement initiatives that can enhance the quality of patient care for the organization. This position relies on experience, nursing knowledge and professional judgment to plan and perform a variety of tasks in order to achieve goals with minimal supervision.

The Value You'll Bring To The Team

Manages the integrity of quality, safety, and service data related to CMS, TJC, AH, and other regulatory agencies.

Obtains and analyzes clinical data to identify process improvement opportunities.

Reviews data, identifies trends, and reports findings.

Inputs analysis into clinical databases for core measures and related programs.

Recommends process improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of patient care.

Supports and maintains records, minutes, and data for quality-related committees.

Educates physicians, nurses, allied health, and ancillary services as needed.

Qualifications Education And Experience Required

Currently licensed to practice as an RN in the state of Texas

Bachelor's of Nursing

Education And Experience Preferred

2-3 years in hospital quality, case management, utilization review, or performance improvement.

Strong understanding of hospital readmission metrics, especially CMS.

Working knowledge of ICD-10 coding, risk adjustment, and clinical documentation improvement.

Familiarity with Premier, Epic, or other EHR analytics dashboard tools.

Previous Quality Experience Preferred.

Experience with Joint Commission disease-specific certification preferred.

Experience with FPPE and OPPE preferred.

CPHQ certification preferred.
