Overview

Program Coordinator at The University of Texas at Arlington. The Program Coordinator provides strategic leadership and operational management for UTA’s Blaze Forward Network and Go Center program. This position advances the university’s mission of college access, student engagement, and success by supervising student mentors and ambassadors, coordinating innovative programming, and fostering strong partnerships with school districts, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders. The Coordinator supports both high school and college students through intentional outreach, professional development, and resource connections, driving retention, persistence, and graduation outcomes. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, higher education, or a related field. Two (2) years of experience in college access, student success, or program coordination. One (1) supervisory experience. Experience working collaboratively with various populations and partners. Reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in Admissions, Recruitment, College Access, or Advising. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience managing student mentoring or ambassador programs. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Supervise, train, and mentor Go Center Mentors and Blaze Forward Ambassadors, providing coaching, performance monitoring, and professional development to ensure program quality. Coordinate and host workshops, events, and networking opportunities that foster academic readiness, personal development, and career preparation for high school and college students. Oversee daily operations of the Blaze Forward Network and Go Center programs, aligning activities with enrollment, access, and student success goals. Plan and facilitate professional development initiatives, including fall and summer trainings, weekly meetings, and targeted workshops for mentors and ambassadors. Collaborate with university departments (Financial Aid, Academic Advising, Career Services, etc.) and serve as liaison to K–12 districts and community partners to streamline student support. Manage administrative processes, including payroll, biweekly time sheet submissions, and compliance with grant and HR policies. Oversee data collection, tracking, and reporting of student participation, engagement, and outcomes. Use data insights to assess effectiveness and inform improvements. Coordinate and host recruitment and outreach events throughout the year. Perform other duties as assigned, including contributing to strategic planning and program growth. Seniority level
