Associate Teaching Professor of Communication and Director of the Marketing Communication Minor, Department of Communication (R0008115) – non-tenure-track faculty position at Wake Forest University, Fall 2026.
Position Summary
The selected individual will teach courses (three per semester) in Marketing Communication at the undergraduate level, including advertising, public relations, online and offline forms of communication, and consumer behavior. Most classes will be delivered face-to-face at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. The role includes participation in departmental, College, and University service. Teaching Professors hold a renewable two-year initial appointment and are full members of the Wake Forest faculty with eligibility for promotion through the ranks of Assistant, Associate, and Full.
Responsibilities
Teach three undergraduate Marketing Communication courses per semester (advertising, PR, online and offline communications, consumer behavior).
Engage in departmental, College, and University service.
Demonstrate ability to foster learning and growth for all stakeholders in an academic environment.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant field and 5 years of university teaching experience are required.
A terminal degree (Ph.D. or DBA) or ABD status is preferred.
Ability to teach courses in Marketing Communication and experience directing an academic program is preferred.
Evidence of engagement with current literature in the discipline or practice of marketing communication is desirable.
