Role Description The Strategic Partnership Specialist, MLS Data serves as the primary interface between CoStar Group residential products (Homes.com / Apartments.com) and our most important business partners, the Multiple Listing Services (MLSs). MLSs are the organizations that manage the proprietary listing data of real estate brokers and offer a suite of services to their members (real estate agents) to more easily facilitate real estate transactions.
The Strategic Partnership Specialist, MLS Data will oversee and facilitate the relationship between CoStar Group residential products and the MLSs, working with departments within the company to ensure that our professional tools are fully operational for the MLS and that its agents are sufficiently supported. The Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining compliant MLS data feeds to guarantee continued display on CoStar Group residential websites and mobile applications. This role will be in-office 5 days a week in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities
Data Display
Acquire, manage, and retain data feeds for CoStar Residential.
Follow MLS compliance display rules to ensure continued data display.
Assist internal teams to maintain real estate license and membership requirements.
Onboard new MLS data on CoStar Residential Brands
Obtain accurate data/feeds.
Assist data team in testing and validating new MLS connections into our system.
Work with external and internal partners to achieve compliance.
Document MLS data updates and partner interactions.
Ongoing relationship with MLSs: Collaborate with MLSs and internal teams to drive agent registrations and engagement.
Troubleshoot issues and communicate product updates to ensure data integrity.
Build interpersonal relationships and rapport with partners to increase communication and capacity for problem-solving; opportunity to participate in industry, education, and networking events.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college
A track record of commitment to prior employers
4+ years of relationship and/or data manager experience (preferably in the real estate or technology industries).
Excellent organization and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft suite applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior relationship manager experience – preferably in the real estate or technology industries.
Effective presentation skills and problem-solving skills.
Technology savvy and skilled at using analytics platforms.
Ability to manage multiple timelines and excel in a fast-paced environment.
