As a Customer Service Associate, you will welcome customers to Lowe's and help them find the right products and services for their home improvement needs. You will interact with customers, help them locate products, and ensure customer needs are met. Responsibilities may vary by department. Customer Service Associates work in departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services. Key Responsibilities
Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service. Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise. Restock merchandise by identifying empty shelf spaces and replenishing supplies. Process orders and deliveries accurately to ensure on-time receipt of merchandise. Cross-functionally train in other areas to deliver the best customer service. Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds). Guide customers through shopping or checkout. Complete other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information. 6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets. Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction). Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. Minimum lifting of 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without accommodation. Preferred Qualifications
6 months of retail and/or customer service experience. Bi-lingual skills. Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials). This role does not require regular travel; however, occasional travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores may be needed. Working Conditions
Environmental factors vary by location. You may work inside or outside in varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises and to moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods vary by role, with guidelines allowing single lifts up to 75 pounds.
