Mayo Clinic Health System in Wisconsin is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Infectious Disease physician to join a collegial department. The primary location for this position is in Eau Claire, Wisconsin with outreach to La Crosse, Wisconsin. Community practice with academic segment working with family practice residents and other trainees. Opportunity to work with most medical specialties in a setting where you see a wide variety of illnesses and disease states. Provide physician support Infection Prevention and Control initiatives and antimicrobial stewardship activities along with infection preventionists and pharmacist respectively. Hospital Practice:
Consultations/Follow ups including use of telehealth technologies for critical access hospitals. There is a large variety of infections: Endocarditis, orthopedic infections, pneumonias, zoonotic diseases, complicated soft tissue infections, endemic mycoses, tick-borne diseases. Minority of transplant-related infections. In addition, to a HIV/AIDS practice. Clinic Practice:
Post-hospital follow-ups, travel clinic, and referrals from other physicians. We have IV antibiotic infusion center at multiple sites, and skilled nurses supporting the outpatient practice. IPAC and Antimicrobial Stewardship:
Infection control with a group of 8 infection preventionists. Antimicrobial stewardship program with Infectious Diseases Pharmacists. No antimicrobial approval calls. You will work as a part of the One Wisconsin Infectious Disease department and participate in Mayo Clinic Enterprise committees. Qualifications
