S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our QA department. As a
Six Sigma Black Belt , you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. Responsibilities
Six Sigma Projects: Lead cross-functional process improvement projects to address critical inefficiencies, improve product quality, and reduce defects. Develop detailed project charters, define objectives and scope, and manage deliverables using Six Sigma tools such as DMAIC. Establish and maintain project timelines while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic initiatives. Quality Partnership: Engage with engineering, production, and other departments to implement process improvements. Act as a trusted advisor by providing guidance on quality and operational challenges and facilitating team buy-in for proposed solutions. Lead detailed Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to address recurring issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. Deploy Six Sigma Methodologies: Apply Six Sigma principles and Lean methodologies to optimize production processes, reduce variability, and improve operational performance. Utilize process mapping, value stream analysis, and other tools to identify issues/waste and develop streamlined workflows. Process Improvement: Conduct thorough process analyses to identify root causes of defects and areas for improvement. Implement Six Sigma tools and techniques, including DMAIC, to drive process improvements. Ensure that process improvements are sustained and integrated into standard operating procedures. Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize statistical analysis and data-driven methodologies to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress, outcomes, and recommendations. Track KPIs and ensure that quality improvement goals are met. Training and Development: Develop and deliver Six Sigma training programs to leaders and team members. Design the training methodology and approve resources to support the ongoing development of Six Sigma competencies within the organization. Assess training effectiveness and make improvements as needed. Change Management: Act as a key partner to the business in change management initiatives and effectively communicate changes throughout the organization. Engage stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and support for Six Sigma initiatives. Compliance: Understand and comply with all applicable content standards, brand guidelines, company policies, and rules. Additional Functions

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in quality or process improvement roles within the manufacturing industry, including at least 5+ years of Six Sigma project experience. Demonstrated success in leading complex Six Sigma projects with measurable business outcomes. Proven expertise in Lean Principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Great leadership skills with an ability to lead leaders, guide, motivate and delegate to deliver results, embrace change, drive decisions and results, embrace culture and inclusion and exhibit integrity. Demonstrated success coaching high-performing teams that learn and apply complex, industry-specific concepts. Possess an excellent understanding of key quality metrics such as Customer Escapes and COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality). Sound business acumen, entrepreneurial approach and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to problem-solve complex issues and leverage data and learnings to drive continuous improvement. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening and presentation) able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels from C-Suite to support staff, and able to influence outcomes and lead strategic planning discussions. Ability to recommend appropriate tools and resolutions to the problem at hand without recommending solutions that are overly complicated or costly when a simpler solution would be more appropriate. Great interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect with stakeholders up to the C-Suite/Executive level, navigate and resolve conflict, foster collaboration among a diverse audience. Sound organizational, planning and project management skills, creatively solving issues and juggling a heavy volume of diverse strategic projects. Working expectations
Frequently required to remain in a stationary position and perform desk-based tasks. Frequently required to walk moderate distances across the S&C campus. Occasionally required to use hand-eye coordination to operate office productivity equipment. Occasionally ascending or descending stairs. Occasionally required to observe details at close range including depth perception, peripheral vision, and color differentiation. Continually required to communicate verbally and in writing, in person and by phone/conference calls. Occasionally required to travel and work extended hours when necessary.
