About the Job

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating a wide variety of construction projects. Oversees the planning, scheduling, and implementation of the construction process making sure that the project gets done on time and within budget.

Responsibilities Customer Relations: Meet with clients to define project deliverables, cost estimates, and major milestones; develop the relationship between TCC and client; ensure contract specifications between all parties.

Project and Resource Management: Support Estimator on bid walks as required determining equipment and labor requirements; review all preconstruction requirements with Superintendent(s); perform project buyout in accordance with company standards and in a timely manner considering schedule and lead times; create and maintain project schedules; manage submittals; initiate RFIs; ensure timely completion and maintenance of project documentation; manage the company safety program and provide safety reporting; supervise and develop personnel; delegate responsibilities and monitor performance; approve timesheets and overtime; enforce Health and Safety Plan regulations; obtain permits/licenses and monitor compliance with building and safety codes.

Finance Track and control construction costs to avoid cost overruns

Update cost projections through project completion at monthly intervals

Monitor costs relative to budget and identify overages; communicate with senior management

Initiate, track and receive timely approval of Change Orders

Responsible for approving invoices and timely completion/submission of project invoices and requisitions; follow up with client to ensure timely payments

Skills You’ll Nail (Qualifications) Understanding of contracts, plans, and specifications; knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations; familiarity with software for job costing, online collaboration, scheduling and estimating.

Decisive and able to work under pressure; able to coordinate several major activities and analyze/resolve problems; understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to establish good working relationships with clients, managers, designers, superintendents, and crew.

Willingness to travel as needed for site responsibilities.
