The QuickBooks Capital (QBC) team is on a mission to transform small business (SMB) lending. We are seeking a seasoned and strategic leader to join our fast-growing Capital Markets team, where they will drive the funding strategy and long-term scalability of our Business Loan products. The role has high visibility in the organization and can influence the strategic execution of large transactions. This position will be based in New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Mountain View, CA with a hybrid schedule (in-office 3 days a week). Reports to the Head of Capital Markets and Bank Partnerships for QuickBooks Capital. Responsibilities
Develop, originate and scale funding strategies for business loans and commercial credit cards, including warehouse facilities, forward flow loan sales, securitizations, and customized financing structures. Manage deal structuring, diligence, and contract negotiations with existing and new partners, focusing on optimizing funding costs and liquidity. Develop and implement strategic funding plans for expansion of existing products and the launch of new products, aligned with business objectives and risk-return frameworks. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external investors, leveraging providers, originating bank partners and third-party agents, expanding the company’s funding network. Provide competitive market insights, including pricing trends and transaction structures, to shape product and funding decisions. Own and maintain the company’s pitch deck, communicating the organization’s growth vision to investors, stakeholders, and partners. Partner with product, risk, legal, compliance and collections teams to design and launch new financial products that minimize balance sheet risk while maximizing profitability. Assist with scaling capital markets efforts across other business verticals or product categories as needed. Qualifications
10+ years experience in lending capital markets, preferably from a bank, specialty finance lender or asset management firm. Experience structuring and executing asset-backed credit facilities, whole loan sales and securitizations. Advanced proficiency in building liquidity forecasting models, optimizing funding costs, and aligning cash needs with sourcing strategies. Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present conclusions and reasons for decisions. Ability to work cross-functionally across compliance, risk, product, credit, legal and engineering and manage projects from start to finish. Employment details
