Our client, a respected and growing organization, is seeking an experienced Controller to take ownership of financial operations, cash management, forecasting, and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who thrives in dynamic environments and can step into responsibilities with little to no handholding. The Controller will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting leadership with timely insights, and driving forward-looking financial strategies. This role requires strong technical expertise, proven leadership skills, and the ability to operate independently. A background in engineering or architectural industries, combined with experience in federal compliance, is highly valued. This Controller role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, values meaningful work, and is motivated to make an impact without requiring extensive direction or transition support. Key Responsibilities
Produce timely and accurate financial statements and related reports. Manage cash flow, cash reporting, and ensure liquidity for operational needs. Prepare and analyze forecasts to guide leadership in decision-making. Ensure compliance with federal regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. Partner with leadership to provide financial insight and process improvements. Operate independently and demonstrate resourcefulness with minimal onboarding. Qualifications
7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally within engineering, architectural, or similar project-driven industries. Strong knowledge of federal compliance and regulatory requirements. Proven expertise in financial reporting, cash management, and forecasting. Highly resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in an independent work environment. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. #INOCT2025 #ZRCFS Seniority level
