Job Overview Bloomingdale’s is seeking a passionate, energetic, customer-obsessed leader to drive the evolution of our Personal Shopping and Stylist programs. The Senior Manager is charged with leading our highest-touch selling programs, developing the sellers who engage with our best customers and strengthening our most critical client relationships. They will establish high levels of connectivity with talent, store leadership, merchants and vendor partners, reinforcing Bloomingdale’s as the store of choice for clients and powerful sellers. The Senior Manager will drive growth of these programs, keeping a pulse on market trends and competitor activities, evolving Bloomingdale’s strategy for the needs of our clients.
The Senior Manager of Personal Shopping & Stylist will report to the Director of Top Client Development and is part of the larger Customer Experience & Strategy team within the Customer & Revenue Growth organization. The CRG pyramid is responsible for developing the holistic experience strategy across the Bloomingdale’s customer journey through innovative solutions that elevate the overall Bloomingdale’s shopping experience and strengthen customer relationships.
Essential Functions
Supports top client and luxury selling strategies through cultivation of powerful personal shopping and stylist service organizations
Owns evolution of Personal Shopping & Stylist programs, defining roles, deliverables and success measures
Optimizes access for Shoppers/Stylists to the entirety of Bloomingdale’s assortments
Works with Marketing to tell the story of our elevated selling services and featured talent
Partners with stores to build business plans, supporting on-site appointments and activations to develop talent and elevate the client experience
Supports seller business development in partnership with store leadership through analysis of merchandise sales mix, client book makeup and local business opportunities
Connects Shoppers, Stylists and their clients to VIC Activations, offering access to exclusive product and experiences and providing on-site support to maximize experience and results
Establishes communication pathways between Personal Shopping/Stylist and merchant organization to optimize product offering for clients
Builds the personal shopping and stylist communities through thoughtful touchpoints and programming
Designs onboarding, advanced programming and mentorship programs to support upskilling in partnership with Learning & Development and Stores
Builds community through group touchpoints including team calls and conclaves
Partners with Selling Strategy team, Human Resources and Store leadership to structure compelling career paths
Qualifications And Competencies
We encourage candidates with either a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field to apply.
5+ years of relevant work experience in luxury retail, client development, omnichannel experience leadership with a passion for customers and developing luxury experiences.
Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing high-performing teams. Ability to lead a team and influence stakeholders with or without direct reporting authority, gaining consensus and resolving issues.
Outstanding relationship orientation with the ability to build meaningful relationships with Clients, Sellers, Vendor Partners and Key Business Stakeholders. Excellent communication (written, verbal, storytelling) skills; high level of creativity, independence, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Ability to juggle multiple projects, identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize tasks, and communicate timelines to team members.
Maintains confidentiality and security of sensitive company information.
Ability to travel, spend time in stores with store colleagues and clients and work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
