About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Manager to lead and elevate our human resources function within a dynamic, full-service firm operating in a fast-paced professional services environment. The ideal candidate will support and develop our people processes, enhance culture, and ensure alignment of HR initiatives with business objectives. Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain HR strategies and initiatives that support the business’s growth, talent acquisition, retention and engagement efforts. Lead recruitment and selection processes: partner with internal stakeholders to define roles, source candidates, conduct interviews, and manage onboarding. Oversee employee lifecycle management: orientation, development, performance reviews, promotions, disciplinary processes, and separations. Ensure compliance with local labour laws, employment regulations and internal policies; update HR policies, handbook, and practices accordingly. Manage compensation and benefits administration, collaborate with finance and leadership to structure competitive programs. Drive employee engagement, culture-building, and communication efforts; plan retention strategies and work-life initiatives. Provide coaching and support to managers on HR best practices, talent development, conflict resolution, and performance management. Lead or support organizational change initiatives, including training, succession planning, and career pathing. Maintain HR metrics and reporting: turnover, hiring, headcount, HR cost, etc.; use data to identify trends and recommend improvements. Oversee HR operations: HRIS management, payroll coordination, records maintenance, compliance filings, and vendor relationships. Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, contributing to strategic planning and people-strategy alignment. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within professional services, legal services, or a knowledge-based organization. Strong knowledge of Puerto Rico employment and labour law, payroll and benefits practices. Proven track record in recruitment, performance management, compensation/benefits, employee relations and HR operations. Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills; able to build credibility with staff at all levels. Capacity to work both strategically and operationally; dresses appropriately for a professional services environment. Bilingual (Spanish and English) fluency preferred, given the local environment and international context. Strong problem-solving skills, confidentiality, integrity and high degree of professional judgement. Experience working with HRIS systems, data analytics and reporting. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-quality service environment. Desired Attributes
