Be a Mentor: Assist students in defining their educational and career goals and guide them through the career development cycle. Career Readiness Champion: Lead and coordinate the Career Ready Program, from planning workshops to celebrating student successes. Networking Guru: Advise students on networking, interview skills, and job applications. Help them shine in their resume and cover letter writing. Data Dynamo: Collect and maintain accurate internship and career outcome data, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. Presentation Pro: Conduct engaging Career Services presentations for on-campus and off-campus partners. Internship Connector: Facilitate learning by helping students secure internships and build a network of employers to create career opportunities. Marketing Maven: Design and implement marketing strategies to attract and involve students, faculty, and employers in experiential learning opportunities. What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of three years in career counseling/services or related experience. Strong commitment to student success, excellent organizational skills, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of workforce solutions, job resources, labor market data, and recruiting practices. Proven effectiveness in working with a diverse student population. Job Summary

Under general direction, assists students in defining educational and career goals. Advises students on seeking and completing internship and experiential learning opportunities. Guides IRSC students and alumni through the career development cycle, including self-assessment, career assessments, career readiness workshops, and networking skill development. Provides resources for program of study research and transfer requirements. Educates students about the interview process, including applications, resume and cover letter writing, portfolio development, and interview techniques. Meets with students to discuss jobs listings and offer advice on specific jobs of interest. Promotes student enrollment, retention and completion. Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Leads and coordinates all aspects of the Career Ready Program, including planning, scheduling workshops, tracking, and completer recognition. Counsels and advises students in career planning, networking, interview skills, resume/cover letter, and career-related decisions. Collects and maintains accurate internship and career outcome participation data and student referrals. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government regulations affecting internships and ensures compliance with policies and reporting. Conducts Career Services presentations to on-campus and off-campus partners as requested. Facilitates learning by assisting students to secure appropriate internships and develop skills for a successful job search. Initiates and maintains an employer network to develop internships and career opportunities. Recruits internship opportunities and designs marketing strategies to identify, attract, and involve students, faculty, and employers. Develops and revises internship policies and procedures. Assists with Career EXPOs and employer networking opportunities. Completes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and relevant work experience; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in career counseling/services or related field. Demonstrated experience in developing, promoting, and managing career services programs and experiential learning opportunities for students. Strong commitment to student success. Ability to work cooperatively with community organizations, faculty, administration, and various campus departments. Knowledge of workforce solutions, state and local job resources, labor market data, online job banks, and recruiting practices. Knowledge of Career Services, Counseling, Advising, or related field. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent computer skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills. Proven effectiveness in working with a diverse student population. Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to sit, stand for long periods, walk, bend, lift, reach, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of twenty-five pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines and equipment. IRSC expects its employees to follow proper safety standards. Employment Details
