Technician III (System Administration) (Remote). V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Technician III (System Administration) (Remote) to support our premier client. Responsibilities
Seeks a contractor to help augment Systems and Engineering team that oversees IT infrastructure and server systems. The current team members are involved in a project to migrate servers, consolidating systems into new data centers. Work with the team, stakeholders, and clients migrating Windows and Linux machines and perform day-to-day systems administration work. Qualifications
Top Skills & Years of Experience: 1 or more years of experience in the following: Proficiency in using VMware to manage Windows and Linux Servers. Building, configuring, and managing Windows and Linux servers in a complex environment with over 300 servers. Implementing and maintaining security and disaster recovery measures on Windows and Linux servers to safeguard data and applications. Answering support tickets, assisting users with issues related to Windows servers and applications. Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with users and stakeholders. Nice To Have Skills
Experience monitoring system performance and uptime. Familiarity with Active Directory, Intune, and/or M365 a plus. Knowledge of IAM systems and two factor authentication, in particular Okta, also preferred. Experience working with MS SQL servers and clusters. What You’ll Do
Support IT infrastructure and server systems as part of the Systems and Engineering team. Assist in migrating servers and consolidating systems into new data centers. Perform day-to-day systems administration tasks for Windows and Linux machines. How to Apply
