Salary Salary:
$4,368 per month or $52,416 annually (BC-02, Step A)
Job Summary The Department of Human Resources Development State Recruiting Office will refer all inquiries regarding this recruitment to the DOT Personnel Office. The Groundskeeper I position performs a variety of manual work in the cleaning, care and maintenance of landscaped grounds areas such as lawns, hedges and other plantings, and adjacent sidewalk and other paved and unpaved areas; uses hand and power lawn tools, and operates light motorized equipment.
Qualifications To qualify, applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements:
Experience and Training:
None required.
Ability to:
Understand and follow oral instructions.
Use hand and power tools used in grounds maintenance.
Operate light motorized equipment.
Care for plants, trees and landscaped areas.
Perform lifting, carrying and other manual work typical of the class.
Driver's License:
Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license to drive in the state of Hawaii at the time of appointment.
Security Clearance SIDA Clearance - Federal Criminal History Records Check: In accordance with federal regulations, persons who are being considered for employment in positions which require unescorted access to secured areas at the airport must undergo a pre‑employment fingerprint‑based criminal history record check. In order to be granted the SIDA clearance, prospective employees must not have been convicted, or found "not guilty by reason of insanity," of a disqualifying criminal offense within ten years from the date of the application. Upon recommendation for hire, prospective employees will be required to successfully undergo the fingerprint‑based criminal history record check and be found free of disqualifying convictions during the preceding ten years.
