Remote Short-term 1-2 month contract position with flexible hours What You Will Do
Identify and approach Native American tribes and consortiums that may be interested in applying for EPA solid waste infrastructure grants. Assist tribes with grant writing and application processes, ensuring clarity and compliance with grant requirements. Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies for engaging tribes and supporting their grant submissions. Communicate effectively with tribal representatives to gather necessary information and provide guidance throughout the grant application. Manage multiple grant writing projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet the December 15th grant submission deadline. Maintain self-sufficiency while working remotely, requiring minimal supervision and demonstrating strong initiative. Provide regular updates on progress and challenges to internal stakeholders. How You Are Qualified
Proven experience in grant writing, particularly with federal and state grants Familiarity with Native American tribes, including their governance and operational structures Ability to communicate effectively with tribal entities and understand their unique needs Strong storytelling skills to craft compelling grant proposals Self-sufficiency and ability to work independently with minimal supervision Experience working with EPA or similar government agency grants preferred Availability for a short-term, project-based role with flexible hours and remote work capability Seniority level
