Job Description Weekly pay: $18 /hr – guard card required. Flexibility in scheduling, part‑time gig work.

Allied Universal Event Services, a contracted security company for the Bank of America Performing Arts Center in Thousand Oaks, is hiring Event Staff Security to work events including concerts, symphonies, musical theater, and more. Responsibilities include welcoming and ushering guests, access and crowd control, and providing superior customer service.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.

Allow appropriate entry into each venue: verify wristbands and badges, direct traffic in and out.

Understand the policies, procedures and regulations of different venues, facilities and events.

Initiate a genuine, friendly, personal greeting to guests as they arrive and a sincere thank you upon completion of each encounter.

Provide guests with helpful directions and/or suggestions that enhance their entertainment experience.

Interact with guests with a smile, using a natural speaking voice, inflection and a friendly tone.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent).

Must successfully complete a background investigation and a pre‑employment drug/alcohol test; may be required to pass a driver’s record check.

Be professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.

Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.
