Overview

Food and Beverage Assistant role in a hotel setting. Responsibilities include guest service, order accuracy, POS input, coordination with culinary, and maintaining station cleanliness. Qualifications include hospitality experience and flexible availability. Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly and courteously and explain available items in detail. Record guest order details, repeat back to the guest to confirm accuracy. Input orders promptly and accurately into the Point of Sale (POS) system to inform the kitchen/bar of order details. Note dietary restrictions and/or allergies on tickets and communicate with culinary staff. Prepare beverage orders to accuracy. Serve guests with proper utensils, requiring manual dexterity. Assist with collecting and presenting food orders from the kitchen. Ensure order forms are filled out daily for next-day service and delivered to proper departments. Process cash, credit card, and other sales for retail and F&B orders. Balance tip slips for servers and run financial, cashier, and end-of-day revenue reports. Prepare cashier end-of-shift reports and ensure that cash drawers are balanced. Check station before, during, and after shifts for proper setup and cleanliness. Wipe and sanitize work surfaces and equipment periodically during shifts. Perform side duties such as restocking condiments, utensils, retail items, and beverages. Store requisitions and supplies from the storeroom as required. Assist with monthly inventory of retail items, liquor, and beverages. Familiar with hotel layout and hours of operations for each outlet. Perform cleaning tasks that pertain to the outlet. Qualifications

Any combination of education that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. High school diploma preferred. Previous hospitality experience preferred. Superior professional appearance and conduct for a fast-paced team environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Ability to obtain relevant state and local certifications (e.g., food handlers, alcohol training) as applicable. Indoor environment with occasional humid or hot conditions. Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds. Flexible in performing all duties. Additional Information
