Job Summary
Schedule: Full Time 40 hours, evenings. 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, Monday - Friday, weekend & holiday rotation Principal Duties/Physical Demands
Performs the 8-step cleaning procedures, daily cleaning, discharge cleaning, bed making, wall spots, toilet cleaning, high and low dusting, and OR terminal cleaning. Completes work from previous shift if needed, reports all incomplete assignments and maintenance issues. Cleans up all organic body waste, such as blood and body fluids, feces, sputum, etc., as instructed by the supervisor or team leader. Hangs cubical curtains, shower curtains, and window curtains. On discharge cleaning, disinfects and sanitizes IV poles, pumps, and other patient equipment. Performs all Environmental Services-related tasks and follows department guidelines related to the work. Performs basic and heavier cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods. Cleans patient equipment as requested by supervisor including beds and all room furnishings. Assists in manpower support for office and/or related moves, special conference room set-ups, and any other occasions as required. Ability to perform cleaning of emergency spills when observed and/or upon request. Qualifications
High school education or equivalent. Must have the ability to understand and converse in English at a level that allows safe, efficient performance of the job. Be able to lift 25-50 pounds. Requires physical demands, ability to stand for long periods, bending, stooping, and lifting. Competent in using proper chemicals for proper tasks. Ability to learn and demonstrate new procedures related to the healthcare industry. Note:
