Graduate Assistant-Communications and Marketing – Auburn University Join to apply for the Graduate Assistant-Communications and Marketing role at Auburn University. The Graduate Assistant position will work collaboratively on the Recruiting & Marketing team in the Auburn University Graduate School to support all 12 academic colleges in graduate student recruitment. The graduate assistant will be responsible for writing, creating and editing digital communications related to prospective student recruitment as well as supporting marketing and promotional material. Responsibilities
Content development and implementation in a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software program used for email marketing campaigns related to recruitment and retention of graduate students. Assist in the planning and execution of recruitment events; monitor and analyze attendance, conversion rates and ROI. Data entry, data management, registration and scheduling for recruitment event-related duties; assist in creating and producing social media content related to recruitment campaigns or help develop strategies and promotions to enhance graduate recruitment. Jointly report to both the Communications & Marketing Specialist and the Director of Graduate Recruiting, with a weekly team meeting and check-in. Maintain CRM database of prospects and inquiries; input prospect data from recruitment fairs and adjust campaign messaging accordingly. Analyze recruitment performance, conversion rates, and ROI to guide strategic planning of future recruitment efforts digitally and in-person. Essential Functions
The Graduate Assistantship provides an educational experience in which the student applies skills in marketing communications, with duties tied to the program of study. The position emphasizes that a majority of duties are related to the program of study while limiting administrative/clerical tasks. This role applies functional knowledge, skills, and abilities from the educational program to administration and coordination of business and marketing tasks, as well as project planning and management. Benefits relate to developing, programming, and implementing business strategies and using analytical skills to solve problems within an organizational setting. Minimum Qualifications
Enrolled graduate student at Auburn University Academic background in communications, marketing, graphic design, or related field Admitted to a graduate degree-seeking or certificate program, classified as MST, EDS, PHD, GCRT, GND, or GPR Registered for at least one Auburn course during each academic term of the assistantship Satisfactory progress toward the degree Preferred Qualifications
Pursuing a graduate degree in communications, marketing, or related field Excellent copywriting, proofreading and editing skills Experience editing photography, graphics, and/or video; Adobe Creative Cloud suite Microsoft Office suite, strong MS Word & Excel skills Pay Rate and Work Hours
Pay Rate: $1,224.00/month • Work Hours: 20 hours per week • Summer semesters optional, but funding is available Posting Details and Compliance
