Varying Schedule Summary The Interpreter Services Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of Interpreter Services, performing clerical duties such as filing, accurate data entry, and copying documents. Responsibilities include answering the phones and entering requests from clients into the database, mentoring of and retaining interpreters, scheduling and confirming interpreters for assignments, responding to departmental communications, and reporting and tracking team activity. Schedule and coordinate assignments with interpreters and agencies. Oversee assignment intake from clients via phone, voicemail, pager, email and EPIC database. Manages team vacation and back up for absences. Coach & mentor interpreters. Follow thru assignments and cancelations; Maintain privacy and confidentiality. Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate and work with multiple projects. Manage the department pager/emails and dispatches Interpreters as needed. Serve as a resource to staff and collaborating departments in resolving complex issues. Performs statistical reporting regarding daily encounters and visit descriptions. Ability to remain calm and effective under routine, emergent, and urgent assignments Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
None. Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree preferred. In lieu of degree, equivalent considered. Proficient in both verbal and written communication; excellent human relations. Ability to work with different cultures and accents. Relevant healthcare experience, basic medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Able to work in a fast paced environment and detail orientation. Proficient in the use of a personal computer and related software including databases and worksheets. (Excel, Time Management) Education
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Physical Requirements
Physical Requirements S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. Any physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee’s physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations. Pay Range

14621 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
