Overview
Trigyn’s direct government client has an immediate need for a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer / Data Analyst in Albany, NY. This position involves understanding system interdependencies, performing impact analysis, and working with integration technologies (APIs, ETL, SQL). Expertise in downstream reporting, business intelligence tools, and requirements elicitation is also required. Responsibilities
Working with the project manager, technical team members and other project stakeholders to perform tasks related to data analysis, data interpretation, and data management in support of agency operations. Support the creation, development, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and general data analysis deliverables that are used to identify trends, deliver insights, monitor agency operations, and evaluate the impact of agency initiatives. Support the creation of agency-wide best practices and standards for data analysis and data management. Fulfill customer requests for ad-hoc report requests, data extracts, or general data analysis requests. Analyze, clean, and interpret data from disparate sources for inclusion into written reports, measuring data findings against the criteria, critical benchmarks, and objectives identified and defined by Executive Leadership and in alignment with the agency’s strategic plan. Evaluate data sources to determine any limitations in terms of reliability or usability. Perform data extraction, aggregation, and quality checks. Work with various stakeholders to develop and build models in support of analytic use cases; identify trends and patterns in data sources. Perform the tasks of major assignments related to the analysis and interpretation of data used in the development of recommendations for improved performance. Experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI. Strong SQL skills for data querying and validation. Understanding of data governance frameworks. Mandatory Qualifications
