Overview The Communications Specialist is responsible for writing and editing projects from concept to publication, meeting deadlines and quality standards; collaborating with attorneys and subject matter experts to develop thought leadership; developing and executing a comprehensive calendar aligned with firm initiatives and industry trends; drafting compelling and accurate content for external and internal communications; and evaluating and implementing AI-powered tools to enhance editorial efficiency while maintaining human oversight.
Responsibilities
Write and edit projects from concept to publication, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Collaborate with attorneys and subject matter experts to develop thought leadership pieces.
Work with firm teams to develop and execute a comprehensive communications calendar aligned with firm initiatives and industry trends.
Draft compelling and accurate content for external and internal communications.
Evaluate and implement AI-powered tools to enhance editorial efficiency while maintaining human oversight.
Qualifications
Five+ years of relevant experience in marketing or communications in the professional services industry.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Legal industry knowledge strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and project management skills, effective communication, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent writing, editing, and communication abilities with the ability to identify marketing opportunities.
Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
This is a hybrid position.
Salary and Benefits
Salary range: $60,000 – $75,000 annually, based on full-time work schedule.
Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
